I’m Michael, a Seattle based UX + Product Designer. I thrive in collaborative environments where openness, drive, and team support are the benchmark. I am curious by nature, and always seeking opportunities to learn and grow. My approach as a UX Designer is to discover areas of human-technology mismatch and explore inclusive solutions that meet user needs and fulfill business goals.
Before my UX journey, I spent 11 years in event management and fine jewelry sales where I worked alongside diverse groups of people every day with the singular goal of making their lives easier and more enjoyable. I gained tremendous insight into the way people think and how to best solve the complex problems they experience on a daily basis. Being there for people on the best and sometimes worst days of their lives is a continuous workshop in empathy.
Prior to my time in Seattle, I lived in Montana, Colorado, and Nebraska. Moving around so much gave me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and has made me who I am today. Some of the things I enjoy are seeing live theater, oil painting, fixing broken things, the smell of fresh raspberries, laughing with people, video games, and baking all kinds of amazing things!
